High Quality Resources from the Northern Grid and National Education Network

How to find and use free resources to support teaching and learning

For over a decade Northern Grid and RBCs across the National Education Network have developed and procured resources for schools to use - and yet many teachers don’t know about this fantastic and free to use collection.

This workshop will introduce teachers to an extensive library of activities and digital content, all licences designed to enable schools to create further resources without fear of litigation or expensive penalties.

The theme of the day will be to:

Raise awareness of the wide range of activities and resources freely available to teachers in schools within the Northern Grid and the National Education Network

Suitable for teachers from primary, secondary and special schools, the workshop will include opportunities to:

• Become familiar with Northern Grid’s resources
• Understand how to access resources across the NEN
• Explore the extensive archives of British Pathe and Audio Networks
• Know how to find resources that have licences for use in education
• Find out how these resources can be repurposed in the classroom and published to real audiences

There is no charge for schools in the Northern Grid partner local authorities
