The term learning platform describes a broad range of ICT systems used to deliver and support learning. The Government's target is that all pupils will be able to access a personalised online workspace, capable of supporting an e-portfolio, by 2007-8 Click on the following links to download pdf versions of the primary and secondary Learning platform "Making IT Personal" booklets.

These booklets, produced by the DfES give information about what is meant by a learning platform and why they are important. They also include a section about funding and some case studies of how learning platforms have been used.
