It's time to get those entries in for the Northern Grid Awards 2010!
The Northern Grid awards are an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how your school makes exciting and innovative use of ICT.
An amazing 131 schools from the 12 Local Authorities in the Northern Grid region entered our 2008 annual awards.
Thirty-three schools were winners or highly commended and all schools were recognised as centres of excellence. Each school received their certificates and prizes at the Northern Grid ICT Awards Ceremony during the Northern Grid for Learning Conference 2008 at the prestigious Ramside Hall in Durham.
Schools in all key stages, including special schools, are encouraged to submit entries to this important competition. The awards will provide a regional showcase for your school, teachers and pupils and an opportunity to win a valuable ICT prize donated by national hardware and software developers.
The closing date for the 2010 awards is 26th February 2010 now 12 March 2010!
You still have time to enter the 2010 Northern Grid awards, there are 11 categories covering all key stages. Download the information document for all the details and an application form.
LAs can nominate schools for the Overall Excellence in ICT Award. This is a chance to nominate schools that have demonstrated the positive impact ICT has had on all aspects of school life. LAs are asked to submit a brief overview of the ways ICT has benefited the school including how it is used to support teaching and learning. See the Overall Excellence Awards Criteria document for more details.
