Northern Grid is one of the ten Regional Broadband Consortia (RBCs) in England. All of the RBCs produce some content; their sites do change regularly so it is useful to keep visiting. This page lists geography resources created by the other RBCs in the country. There is a link to all of their sites in the Partnership section.
WMnet, the West Midlands Regional Broadband Consortium, has developed these online guides to video conferencing with funding from DfES and Becta. There are currently two sections to the material. The first - An Illustrated Guide to Video Conferencing - looks at some of the basics of video conferencing. It is intended to be accessible to a non-technical audience who are interested in picking up key video conferencing concepts and pick up some hints and tips. The second - A Teacher's Guide to Video Conferencing - looks in more depth at teaching and learning using video conferencing. Packed with examples it follows real teachers working in real classrooms and looks at how the technology can support and enable good solid teaching.
