CEOP Release Facebook App

facebook_logoMany of you will have seen the news headlines, but here is some additional info from CEOP about their new app in collaboration with Facebook.......

CEOP and Facebook have developed a new free application that will make young people safer within Facebook.  ClickCEOP is a new app which links the young user and parent directly from their Facebook home page to help, advice and reporting facilities of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre

The 'CLickCEOP' app is a three stage application that asks young people to:

E-Safely Video

esafely_facePupils from a school in Redcar and Cleveland know all about the opportunities the Internet provides. They also know about the risks.

The pupils, aged from 6-8 years old, worked with their class teacher and Creative Partnerships to produce this powerful message about how to stay safe online.

British Pathe - Examples of Work

Teachers from the Northern Grid region have been working with the British Pathe resources. They have produced examples showing what the resources can be used for. On this page you can find examples of the work they did. The examples include lesson plans and clips they have produced, as well as links to the British Pathe files they used.

The project involved all key stages and a number of different subject areas. In some instances the teachers used the original British Pathe clips as a stimulus to introduce new topics. In other cases the clips were edited either by the teacher or by pupils.

Most of the schools used Movie Maker 2 to edit the clips. This is a free piece of software for use...
