Information:

The children wrote a modern day version of Little Red Riding Hood called Little Blue Denim Jacket. After writing a description of the character in Literact, Natalie drew this scene from the story.

Objectives:

  • To use the features of a graphics program to describe a character.
  • To create a modern day character based on a traditional story.

The pictures were created using Colour Magic, and were based upon modern versions of traditional stories that the children wrote in Literacy. The pictures were then imported into Microsoft Word and text was added. James worked independently.

  • To alter font type, size and colour for emphasis and effect.
  • To combine graphics and text to communicate information (QCA Unit 3A).
