Information:

Pupils in Miss Rushworth's ICT club embarked on a new project to take photographs of their local area. These pictures were added to PowerPoint presentations which were then sent to a pupil who had recently moved to Scotland. The pupils hoped he would show the work to his new classmates and tell them about Sunderland.

Miss Rushworth sent the pupils photographs to the local newspaper, the Sunderland Echo, for one of their features. The newspaper was so impressed they decided to print a whole article dedicated to the pupil's work. The photographs were subsequently published in the Sunderland Echo's weekly "Chipper Club" feature over the summer holidays.

The pupils then created a series of calendars using their photographs which they hoped to sell in order to raise money for charity. They plan to create promotional videos of the area in the future.
