Welcome to the FARNE Resource Area: This section of the Northern Grid website was produced in partnership with FARNE (Folk Archive Resource North East). FARNE is an online archive providing access to over 4000 songs, tunes, sound recordings and photographs from across North East England.   The following site provides teachers with free resources for Literacy, Drama, History and Music. These are all based on content from the FARNE website. They are suitable for Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. Many of the resources relate to the topic of 'The Victorians'. The resources are all related to local historical events and are available in a variety of formats (MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and Pdf. To access Pdfs you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader).   This version of the site is designed to work with the projector with an 800 by 600 screen resolution.
