Murder in the Vale of Slander
A
science activity looking at fertilisers, aimed at More Able
and Talented Key Stage 4 pupils. A journalist investigating
the regeneration site has been murdered, by using the clues
and analysing data on pollution can the pupils solve the murder?
Pupils need to justify their answers.
A Redevelopment on Teesside
Teesside
is one of the sites that may be chosen for regeneration. In
this geography activity pupils analyse newspaper clippings
and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of regenerating
the area. Pupils need to justify their answers.
Riverbridge 2010
In
this Design and Technology Activity students use the web links
provided to carry out their own research into different forms
of energy production. They then use their findings to generate
a proposal to submit to local government focusing on their
chosen method of electricity production. Many questions are
asked as they work their way through the pages of information
and links provided.
Building a Swimming Pool
This
is a maths activity looking at critical path analysis. Pupils
are shown how to create a critical path for the construction
of a swimming pool. There is then a section where pupils are
asked what effects changes in the process would make to the
critical path.
