KidPix Studio (Broderbund)
KidPix allows you to create pictures using a range of tools, e.g. Pencil, Wacky Paint brush - for things like the sun, clouds and trees shown above, and stamps - includes forms of transport, animals, fantasy characters and many others. Children can add text with a stamp or typewriter - once the text has been added it cannot be altered.
Another section of KidPix allows screens to be made into a multimedia slideshow. The screens can be sequenced, you can add sound - either from the range available with the software or you can record your own.
The multimedia part of this program is very useful for literacy. Stories can be sequenced and the text recorded.
