Content:
The aim of the session is to create a story that incorporates and can be illustrated by the equipment in the interactive/sensory room. Pupils will set up the interactive room so that each press of the switch turns on appropriate equipment in sequence 1-6. Pupils will 'perform' the story to other pupils and record their story using 'story book weaver' CD ROM.
1. In the interactive room with paper and pencils, discuss the different types of story the pupils enjoy. E.g. spooky, space etc.
2. Demonstrate interactive room equipment e.g. solar projector disks, light and sound effects and discuss how it makes them feel what it reminds them of etc.
3. 'Write' the story attaching an 'effect' to each part. Plug in the equipment to the appropriate socket. Continue until six different effects have been achieved.
